The Inside Cabin
This entry is part 31 of 74 in the series 2020 World Cruise

As a result of concerns over Corona Virus and how it may affect our ability to visit ports in the future, Holland America has cancelled our visit to Singapore and all of our Indonesian Ports.

After we leave Darwin, we will proceed west directly to Sri Lanka, adding Hambantota, Sri Lanka. We will visit Colombo next early and then proceed to Mumbai, India for a 3 day visit. This ship is still working on the visa situation. India now has the capability for evisas for cruise ships. It remains to be seen whether or not they can obtain the evisas for us or if we will have to figure it out ourselves online.

Our visit to Maldives and Kenya have been canceled. Maldives is no longer accepting cruise ships and Mombasa was canceled due to unspecified “security concerns”

A new port for us will be Praslin, Seychelles, which is the more touristy island that is part of the Seychelles chain.

We will overnight in Zanzibar, rather than having a single day visit.

I suspect that this may not be the last change. The crew is doing a marvelous job as always adapting to these changes.

They have also notified us that if you left the ship and traveled to Indonesia or Singapore independently, you would not be able to return to the ship. Copy of the letter HERE
